Civic Leadership Award Honoree 2012

Kelley LaFontaine

I grew up in a very close loving family. I have been blessed with two amazing parents, Mike & Maureen; two brothers Mike & Ryan, and an older sister Christie. I married my high school sweetheart, Barron Hinsperger. We have three beautiful children Zackary, Mackenzie, and Savanna.

I have a passion for giving back to others, especially children in need. I chair the Huron Valley Optimist Childhood Cancer Campaign, which benefits national as well as local children battling cancer. I was proud to be able to work with my brother, Ryan LaFontaine, on the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society 2010 Man of the Year Campaign. My brother is an inspiration as well as a cancer survivor. In 2011, I was honored to become the National Woman of the Year for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In the past 3 years, Team LaFontaine has raised over $525,000 for LLS research grants for the U of M Hospital. I am also very active in American Cancer Society, National Kidney Foundation, Scamp, Ort America, Ele’s Place ... I live my life truly believing in helping others.

I work in the family business at LaFontaine Automotive Group as the Business Marketing Manager. I have helped launch Lady La’s boutique, Ohh La Las Café, as well as The Salon.
